1 bowl of chana dal, 5 bowl water,big pieces of lauki,1 teaspoon jeera,1 teaspoon red pepper,1/2 teaspoon garam masala, 2 green chilli,fresh green coriander,1 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste, 2 chopped red onion,2 tomatoes,1/2 teaspoon kashmiri red pepper ,1/2 teaspoon kasori methi,salt,turmeric powder.
METHOD
Boil dal with water ,salt and turmeric powder,pieces of lauki for 25 minutes .Boil 1 tablespoon ghee in the pan.Put paste of ginger,garlic and onion,tomata.Fry it with all the masale.Put this tarka in the boiled dal and cook for 2 minutes.Serve it with kasori methi sprinkled over the recipe.
